Havit is a Chinese brand, aiming at cheap consumer electronics. Havit i97 is one of its newest TWS products. It is almost as cheap as Redmi Airdots. Thanks to my poverty, I finally got a Havit i97 for daily use. So what’s the actual experience with Havit i97? Are you also considering to buy it? Let’s check out my Havit i97 review and look for an answer.
The packaging of Havit i97 is really ‘simple’. You won’t get any sense of ceremony when unboxing it. Except the packaging is customized with LOGO, the rest of the packaging does not even have a sticker and seal.
The appearance looks slightly like AirPods but it is a completely different product. The plastic on the top of the charging case feels too heavy, which shows poor quality. However, Havit i97 is super light in weight. And the indicator lights on the charging box look really great.
To my surprise, the charging port of Havit i97 is a USB Type-C port! As we know most of the cheap TWS earbuds/earphones only have Micro-USB charging port, even on some products from big brands.
On the other side of the charging box is the Logo with some texts, which are really unexpected. Even without the ‘Made In China’, we can still know it is from China.
The earphone of Havit i97 has a piano paint design. It looks great but it is really easy to get fingerprints. The earmuffs look creepy and are easy to get dirts and dusts.
With Bluetooth 5.0 technology, the pairing process is fast and the connection is relatively stable. But it takes 3-5 seconds to make the connection between earphones and the phone after opening the charging case.
Although Havit i97 is a cheap product, it still has a touch control function. The sensibility is not bad and you can easily switch songs or pause with the touch control.
There is almost no sound quality at this low price. But you can still hear the voice clearly when making phone calls.
The actual battery life is much shorter than the announced 5 hours. It is only 3 hours. However, it is still quite enough for our daily use. Besides, the charging case of Havit i97 can provide another 3 times charging.
The verdict of Havit i97 review
Havit i97 is really a cheap TWS product with strong ‘Made In China’ style. However, after the actual experience, it is still enough for simple daily use. So, if you do not mind the creepy workmanship and the poor sound quality, and you don’t like the Micro-USB charging port on Redmi Airdots, just choose it!
